Lake Superior Trip

We love taking trips together as a family. This summer we went to Lake Superior and visited the Apostle Islands in Wisconsin and Porcupine Mountains in Michigan. We camped the whole time, but due to some unfortunate rain we had to cut our trip short due to a leak in our tent. Regardless, we had a wonderful time and hit one more state to our goal of hitting all 50 states. We love seeing each state and what each state has to offer. Every state is different and we love that they are all unique. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

My Not So Fairytale Life

Tyson and I just got done reading an awesome book! It is called "My Not So Fairy~Tale Life" by Julie Wright. It talks about a girl and her life and her trials she has gone through. She goes through the adoption process, not as a adoptive parent, but has a birth mother. It is a spiritual book along with a moving story of a girl and her "not so fairytale" life. This made Tyson and I even more excited in the process we are going through and how excited we are to be involved with birth parents of a beautiful baby. I think this is a must read for anyone involved in adoption on either side.

Roxy, our three year old boxer!

Roxy is a mellow, sweet, loving, fun dog! We love her and she is fantastic with children. Here are a few pictures with some of our friends' kids and how she interacts with them. As you can she, she just hangs out and loves being around people.

A little bit about us!

I am Angela. I was born in Utah and grew up with two brothers and two sisters. I am the second oldest child. I lived on a farm growing up and then moved to the city when I was a junior in high school. We did many things together as a family including many camping trips, visiting relatives, riding our bikes, hiking, playing games, and attending each others sporting activities. My family is some of my best friends and I wouldn’t change my childhood for anything. To me, I am just an ordinary girl who tries to do what is right and to lead a good life. I am someone who loves to laugh and who loves to be with people. My greatest joys are with my family and friends. I rarely enjoy being alone. I enjoy serving others and doing good in my community. I enjoy being creative and to come up with new things. I went to school to obtain my cosmetology degree and use that at home as my hobby. I enjoy making people feel good about themselves. I am someone who enjoys just staying home and hanging out with my family. I enjoy taking vacations with my husband. I try and find the simple pleasures in life and try to make everyone happy.

I am Tyson. I was born in California and moved around a bit growing up. I went to high school in Wisconsin. My family consists of my parents and four brothers. I am the second oldest child. We were raised to be very independent and learn to do things on our own. During my high school years, I spent a lot of time with a close group of friends and worked at a local restaurant. After high school I went worked for a few years and did some traveling before I went on my mission. I served a mission in the Sacramento California mission. I learned a lot during those two years about who I was, and what I wanted to accomplish in my life. After my mission I began my college education at the University of Utah where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance. During my second year of college I met Angela while working for a local company.

We became work friends for a few months before we started dating. We only dated for two months before we got engaged. Even though we didn’t date for very long, we loved being with each other and didn’t have any desire to date anyone else. We were married two days after Christmas in 2003.

After Tyson graduated with his bachelor's, he was hired with a company that took us to Nebraska for our training. We thought we were going to move elsewhere after his training, but I guess the Lord had something else in mind for us. We received an offer with a different company and decided to take it. We were able to stay in Nebraska permanently. We then bought a house and adopted our dog Roxy, who we love and adore. We both are currently furthering our education. Tyson is going for his Master's in Public Administration and Angela is going for her Assoiciates in Health Information Management Systems.

If you have any other questions that you would like to know about us, please feel free to ask. We would love to share things with you.
